Fast and Easy -- Candied Yams......


2 tbsp. water
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 large cans of yams - or 8 yams [med. size]

For candy sauce, put all ingredients except yams into large saucepan..Boil for 3 minutes.

If using fresh yams.. peel and quarter then cook yams in microwave [ use microwave safe bowl and lid... about 3 to 4 minutes].
If using the cans - just open and drain..

Place the yams in the saucepan. Cover with sauce and cook for 20 - 30 minutes on low..basting occasionally.
Do not cook to long or yams will fall apart........ Enjoy..
